Cedar Point...(Insert Ohio Accent Here) Ride On!

After an, how can I put this, interesting night at the biker rally we went to sleep with dreams of roller coasters and anxiety for the next day in our hearts.

The day started with a quick breakfast at McDonalds, and Mom was forced to learn the hard way that an Iced Latte and a Frappe are unfortunately NOT the same thing. But with some classic Nancy Berry negotiating, she talked her way into an Iced Latte with whipped cream (unthinkable at McDonalds).

Thanks to the genius of Mom and Dad, we had early entry passes to the park that let us in an hour early to ride Maverick and the legendary Millennium Force. Maverick was amazing, but Millennium Force was even better in my opinion. The only word to describe it is awesome, but even that doesn't do it justice.

The rest of the morning was spent riding other rides and roller coasters, but the most memorable moment of the day was on the bumper cars. After carefully watching one go round of the cars, we all picked out that the car to get was the light blue 21 car. As soon as the gates opened, Carter sprinted to the car, and in his haste took a fantastic tumble in front of the entire line and scraped up his knee.

It was hilarious.

After we were finished laughing, we headed over to Chick-Fil-A for lunch in search of the only Coca-Cola on the Pepsi sponsored peninsula. But, to our dismay, Chick-Fil-A sold Pepsi, PEPSI! If you want a true sign that the world is ending, that is it.

The Racing Merry-Go-Round, one of two in the country!
Fortunately, us kids were able to rebound from the disappointment, but Mom and Dad were not so lucky and headed back to the hotel for a little nap. While the kids ruled the park, Carter and I conquered the 120 mph, 420 feet tall Top Thrill Dragster which, as me and Carter both agreed, exceeded our expectations and was Carter's favorite ride. We also rode Courtney's favorite ride Gemini and the Ferris Wheel.

Finally, Mom and Dad returned from their old people time and we rode, as I had to explain to Dad at least 20 times, Magnum XL-200. After Magnum, it was on to Millennium Force for one more ride and then to TTD so Mom and Dad could get in on the fun.

Everyone on Magnum XL-200

It was an amazing day at Cedar Point and we are heading to bed right now to prepare for the Death Drive tomorrow (18 hrs. to South Dakota). Mt. Rushmore better be pretty cool or I will be a bit irritated.
